Bali – My Favorite Must See List

Bali Safari Tours and Elephant Safari Park and Museum, Taro is a beautiful elephant sanctuary with stunning gardens. Visitors can learn about elephants and explore elephants around the park. You can easily spend all day here, or arrange to stay in their new hotel accommodation if you want. There is a restaurant on the hotel site overlooking the lake and a beautiful gift shop filled with souvenir elephants of all kinds that can be imagined. The same company can also arrange rafting, river kayaking and mountain biking.

Kintamani Volcano is one of the most popular and spectacular sightseeing tours offered in Bali. Visiting the cooler mountains of Bali, you will see that horticulture is one of the main activities as you pass many roadside stalls selling fruit and vegetables. The main attraction for visitors is around Lake Batur and the spectacular views of the crater lake located on the vast volcanic caldera. Climbing to the top of Mount Batur sunrise trekking, still an active volcano, to watch the sunrise is an unforgettable experience for more energetic tourists. Mt. Batur as we know it today was formed by an eruption in 1917. There are also many beautiful restaurants overlooking the volcano where you can sit and enjoy the view.

Uluwatu Temple, perched high on a cliff in the south-most southwest, is one of the most spectacular of the many Hindu temples in Bali. About an hour & fifteen minutes drive from Kuta. Like all temple etiquette, there are strict dress codes, although sarong and clothing can be rented at the entrance. Once inside, be aware of cunning monkeys who like to snatch jewelry, bags and cameras from visitors.

Tanah Lot – is one of the most famous and perhaps the most photographed temples in Bali. A stunning Hindu sea temple perched on a rock formation surrounded by waves. You can walk to the temple at low tide, or follow the path on the left to the top of the cliff and enjoy the view from one in many restaurants. One of my favorite drinks to enjoy here is a beautiful and refreshing alcoholic coconut drink served in a coconut shell. They also serve a non-alcoholic version too. There are also many tourist shops and stalls on the way from the parking lot to the temple. The scenery and sunset here are quite spectacular …
